it’s all about EMOTIONS AND mindfulness
A QUIET SOFT LIGHT
It is on the point and in all it’s wholeness, very balanced, but vibrant, a tender touch with a heartwarming embrace in absolute SILENCE.
Every now and then there are barrels that are so outstanding that we cannot blend them into something else. So just happened with these 2 barrels of BLAUFRÄNKISCH 2019. One barrel BLAUFRÄNKISCH from NEUBERG (limestone) and one barrel BLAUFRÄNKISCH from NEUBERG (schist) were so good, that we could not put them into PERSPEKTIVE ROT. We kept them for one more year, and just as luck had it, they were the perfect match so we blended them into a brand new and overly exciting wine. A wine that precisely explores the idea that you can taste and feel the soil’s energy. Especially when you put all your heart, sweat and care into farming your vines.
LABEL
If we had to visualize how this wine TASTES and FEELS – it would be A QUIET SOFT LIGHT. A sudden spark in the dark that catches your attention. Softly. No Fear. No Noise. No Distraction. Oneness. Purity. Silence.

VINEYARD SITE: Neuberg – limestone
NEUBERG belongs to the best vineyard sites Burgenland has to offer. It is one of the oldest vineyard sites in our area. Vines have been growing here for many of hundreds of years. NEUBERG is a very rocky limestone hill in the northwest of Neusiedl and belongs to the Leithaberg Mountains. Its hills are softly rolling towards the lake and slope either southeast or north south. The soil is diverse, ranging from pretty scarce and surfacing huge amounts of limestone fragments (in some parts schist) to heavy, rich loam .
The vine lives up to its best. The grapes we grow here are always of the utmost quality.  Delivering wines that are very purist but precise – clearly structured and with depth of character – dark but charming minerals amongst enticing fruit notes.
A QUIET SOFT LIGHT comes in brown BURGUNDY-SHAPED cork bottles with natural cork, no capsule
A QUIET SOFT LIGHT WON’T BE A PERMANENT wine ON OUR PORTFOLIO, BUT WE HOPE TO BE BLESSED WITH MANY OUTSTANDING VINTAGES TO COME.
